Getting to Ostend
Arriving by plane
Brussels Airport (BRU) is the main international hub.
You can travel by train from Brussels Airport-Zaventem to Ostend (often with a connection in Brussels); typical journeys are around 2 hours, with faster options possible depending on the service.
If you fly into Brussels South Charleroi (CRL) (often used by low-cost airlines), you will need transfers (bus/train connections), and the total journey to Ostend is typically around 3.5 hours.
Arriving by train
Ostend is a major coastal terminus on the Belgian rail network. From Brussels there are direct InterCity trains to Ostend, with journey times around 1h15 depending on the departure station/service.
Ostend is also very convenient from key Belgian cities: Ghent → Ostend ~40 minutes and Bruges → Ostend ~13 minutes by train.
Arriving by car
Ostend is straightforward to reach by car, and several public car parks are available in and around the city centre. For the conference venue, the most convenient options are:

Casino-Kursaal (Kursaal Oostende) is located right on the seafront, in the heart of the city: Kursaal-Westhelling 12, 8400 Ostend, Belgium.
From Ostend Railway Station, the venue is about a 15–20 minutes walk.
If you prefer public transport, the Coastal Tram (Kusttram) stops at “Marie-Joséplein”, only about 200 metres from the Kursaal.
